Privacy Policy

Data Protection and your privacy

Your privacy is protected by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), which regulate how personal data is processed. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA) introduced updates to these laws.

The laws enforce the principles of legal, fair, and transparent data processing. If people have your information, there has to be a valid reason, and when that reason no longer exists theymust delete it securely.

If you give people permission to hold your data for a specific reason, such as a job application, they have no legal right to hold it after the application process is complete, unless you give them your consent to do so. If you believe your legal rights are not being respected, we suggest you share your concerns with Unity in Diversity, Citizens Advice, Swansea Asylum Seekers Support or the Welsh Refugee Council.
